Does the system need to be connected to the internet to work?

The system functions without the need to be connected to the internet and will follow all of the programmed commands and will respond appropriately as per movement sensors,  light switches or intercom etc.

The connection to family and friends is via the internet connection. This allows for the push notifications for any appropriate alerts plus intercom video for that user group to be passed to their handsets.  Alerts are (Family – Group 1, Friends – Group 2 and Carers –  Group 3) to be displayed on any Android, IOS or internet browser.

 

Can we make changes to the system with our phones or on site?

Changes, subject to which group your are in, can be made remotely or on site by the user and we make copies of the configuration every two months in case of any problems.  

 

Where is the data kept for statistics of the house?

All of the statistical data is kept on the ionFolks server on the clients site.  We backup the configuration file only from the client site. 

 

What are the User groups?

The User groups are, Family – Group 1, Friends – Group 2 and Carers – Group 3 and everyone will have unique login and passwords.

Different groups will be presented with different data subject to their group.  Carers will have the least amount of data presented to their handsets.

 

Training     

The system is simple and intuitive to use and the training is for the setup of the iPhones and Android devices for the user and making sure the clients  are comfortable with how the solution meets their requirements .
